The footpath leads past the cottage and takes the viewer’s eye right out of the picture.

While a circular composition can be exciting, placing the main interest in the absolute centre is somewhat predictable.

Here I have emphasized the tree on the right by making it larger and added a shadow underneath to reiterate this area as the point of interest.

Changing the path to a softer ‘S’ shape that goes to the cottage leads the eye to the main point of focus and keeps the viewer’s interest within the picture.
